| Fairfax County Chapter was organized on October 14, 1905. Our 90th
Birthday Celebration, held on October 13th 1995, was highlighted by a historical
marking of a picturesque Victorian home located in Vienna, VA. This was the site
of our organizing meeting. Since then, we have grown from a charter group of 12 members
to a membership of 187. We are a friendly, active group. We hold meetings during the week, on weekends, and evenings to accommodate our membership. Known for our help and expertise in lineage research, we strive to help prospective members establish links to a Revolutionary War ancestor. The Chapter motto is "the real value of genealogy is not social pretense but moral obligation." We welcome new members and transfer members in the Fairfax County area.
